Volunteering comes in many shapes and sizes.

Families are welcome on campus and in classrooms. Spend time in the art or Spanish class supporting the teacher and children. Visit your child’s classroom to read a book to their class. (At this time, all on-campus volunteers must be vaccinated and wear face masks. You will be prompted to upload your COVID-19 vaccination record after signing up.)

Many jobs can be done completely remotely. Communicating, balancing budgets, taking notes, staying in touch as a Room Parent, and planning fun treats for teachers, staff, students, and families can mostly be done from your home computer and phone.

If you like to show up and help for a few hours, please sign up to implement school celebrations (5th grade promotion, Boo-Fest Halloween party), and participate in Pacifica community events (Fogfest, Drive-in Movies).

Our meetings are virtual, via Zoom.
PTO Board meetings are on the 1st Tuesday of each month @ 7 pm.
PTO General meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month @ 7 pm.

Would you like to be the Room-Parent for your child’s classroom? What is a Room Parent?

As a room parent, you are an essential connection “bridge” between the school, PTO, and the families of your child’s class. You help maintain open communication with the PTO Room Parent Coordinator, your child’s teacher, and the rest of the families in your child’s class.

4 Main Room Parent Coordinated Events:

  • Winter Book Exchange (December 12-16, 2022)

  • Grade Level Sponsor a Reader fundraising event (February 2023)

  • Pancake breakfast fundraising event (TBD- we are hoping to recruit enough volunteers to be able to organize this event)

  • Teacher Appreciation Week Class Gift (May 1-5, 2023)

  • Any other classroom events or celebrations that you wish to have for your child’s class. These are highly encouraged but not required. You do not need any PTO approval. Simply collaborate with your teacher for a Halloween, Valentine’s day, or Winter Holiday Party, etc!

Submit a PAW Point for your own child!

Kids receive PAW Points from teachers regularly for showing these characteristics at school. You can also recognize your child when you see them embodying good ideas and habits at home!
