In addition to direct donations, the PTO sponsors other FUN fundraisers to get kids and families involved throughout the year. These are some events and campaigns in Sunset Ridge’s traditions:

Boo-Fest

End of October - Costumes, bouncy houses, and face-painting - oh my!

This annual Sunset Ridge tradition is a raucous Halloween party that has been a community favorite for years! Join the planning committee if this spooky holiday is what gets you excited. Come to the celebration with your kids and neighbors and enjoy! Proceeds from ticket & food sales support the PTO.

Scholastic Book Fair

Fall and Springtime our Sunset Ridge library hosts the semi-annual book sale!

Children receive order forms in the classroom for a sneak peek. Shopping is open online and in-person at our SRE Library. The sale is open with kids’ books and a few adult favorites. Children visit the book fair in their classes and choose their top two favorite books. Parents can send cash with their children or visit the book fair together during set hours after school.

Sponsor-a-Reader

February is a special time to read!

Classes compete as a team to raise funds while logging their reading. Using unique web links per class, families and friends of each student pledge directly to a classroom campaign. (Cash & checks can be processed via teachers or PTO Board members).

One winning class per grade level!

Original Works

Mid-Springtime - Your child’s artwork on gift items!

Teachers create special project artwork with your child in the early Springtime. Around April, they send home Original Works order forms (maybe on a website someday!). You can order gift items with your child’s artwork printed on them! Mugs, notebooks, magnets, tote bags.

Save the date - These special custom items are scheduled to arrive just in time for Mother’s Day.

See’s Candy

January - Chocolate!

See’s Candy provides a list of their most popular items to choose from. Students and families sell candies to friends, neighbors, and family. Your candy arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Pancake Breakfast

Late Spring - 5th graders serve homemade pancakes while the community bids on a silent auction!

Each class creates a gift basket for the silent auction. We collect in-kind donations for items to raise money. All of the community gathers and all funds support the PTO.
